Urge

A group of wealthy friends travels to a private tropical island for a luxurious weekend getaway, seeking pleasure, excess, and escape from their everyday lives. While there, they are invited to an exclusive nightclub run by an enigmatic owner who offers them a mysterious experimental drug known as Urge.

The substance promises to remove all inhibitions and allow users to live without limits, unleashing repressed desires, hidden impulses, and darkest fantasies. Despite warnings that the drug can only be taken once without catastrophic consequences, the group chooses to ignore the danger and use it again.

Soon the effects spiral out of control: primal urges and violent instincts emerge, turning the paradise island into a nightmare of paranoia, brutality, and chaos. Relationships, friendships, and social identities rapidly collapse as the characters surrender completely to their most destructive impulses.

Trapped on the island with no escape and unable to distinguish clarity from madness, the survivors must face not only each other but also the disturbing truth behind the drug and those who created it.

Urge is a psychological thriller/horror film exploring the darkest aspects of human nature, asking what would happen if all moral restraint were suddenly removed.

Un gruppo di amici benestanti decide di trascorrere un weekend di lusso su un’isola tropicale privata, alla ricerca di divertimento sfrenato e di una pausa dalla routine quotidiana. Durante il soggiorno, vengono invitati in un esclusivo nightclub gestito da un enigmatico proprietario, che offre loro una misteriosa droga sperimentale chiamata Urge.

La sostanza promette di eliminare ogni inibizione e permettere a chi la assume di vivere senza limiti, liberando desideri repressi, impulsi nascosti e fantasie più oscure. Nonostante gli avvertimenti che la droga può essere assunta una sola volta senza conseguenze devastanti, il gruppo decide di ignorare il pericolo e provarla nuovamente.

Ben presto l’effetto della sostanza sfugge al controllo: gli impulsi più primitivi e violenti emergono, trasformando l’isola paradisiaca in un incubo di paranoia, brutalità e caos. Relazioni, amicizie e identità sociali si disintegrano rapidamente mentre i protagonisti cedono completamente ai propri istinti più distruttivi.

Intrappolati sull’isola senza via di fuga e incapaci di distinguere lucidità da follia, i sopravvissuti devono affrontare non solo la minaccia reciproca, ma anche la verità inquietante sulla natura della droga e su chi l’ha creata.

Urge è un thriller psicologico/horror che esplora il lato più oscuro della natura umana, interrogandosi su cosa accadrebbe se ogni freno morale venisse improvvisamente rimosso.
