In Amsterdam, a series of violent events shakes the city when an African lion escapes from a zoo during transport and begins roaming freely through canals and urban streets. What initially appears to be an isolated incident quickly escalates into a deadly crisis as the animal starts attacking residents and tourists.

Young veterinarian Lizzy, played by Abbey Hoes, becomes involved in managing the emergency alongside local authorities and law enforcement. As the city goes into lockdown and panic spreads, a disturbing truth emerges: the lion is not just a wild animal out of control, but appears to be adapting to the urban environment, becoming an increasingly intelligent and unpredictable predator.

Efforts to capture it become more and more dangerous as the death toll rises. Lizzy and special response teams must face not only the physical threat of the animal but also logistical and political chaos that prevents an effective response. Every containment attempt fails, turning Amsterdam into a deadly urban trap.

As time runs out and the situation deteriorates, survival becomes a race against a predator that is mastering the human environment. Prey builds escalating tension between animal horror and urban disaster, where the city itself becomes a hunting ground.
