Hesher

TJ is a withdrawn thirteen-year-old boy struggling with the recent death of his mother, a trauma that has left both him and his father emotionally shattered and unable to process their grief. As his father sinks into paralyzing depression and the family slowly falls apart, TJ drifts through life consumed by anger, pain, and confusion.

Everything changes when he meets Hesher—an enigmatic, filthy, and seemingly unhinged drifter with long messy hair, tattoos, and a violently anarchic attitude. Without invitation, Hesher gradually inserts himself into the family’s life until he is effectively living in their home, bringing chaos and unpredictability wherever he goes.

Though vulgar, destructive, and deeply unstable, Hesher slowly becomes a transformative force in TJ’s life, pushing him to confront the grief, rage, and fear he has buried inside. Through extreme, provocative, and often self-destructive methods, Hesher forces both TJ and his father to face the reality of their trauma.

Meanwhile, TJ develops a bond with Nicole, a kind-hearted grocery clerk who becomes a rare source of warmth and emotional grounding amid the chaos.

TJ è un tredicenne introverso e profondamente segnato dalla recente morte della madre, un trauma che ha lasciato lui e suo padre emotivamente distrutti e incapaci di affrontare il lutto.
